Good Times Tours - The Brews and Aviators Tour
Our Magic in Marlborough Good Time Brews and Aviation tour offers a visit to popular breweries and eateries in the Marlborough region. An afternoon highlight is a full tour of the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre.
- Pick up from your Blenheim accommodation then a coffee and pie at the Burleigh. We cross the valley for tastings of Golden Mile brews at Vines Village. Next stop is the famous Moa brewery. These guys won the 2018 Champion NZ beer award with their Moa Southern Alps IPA. They have over 16 varieties to savour! For lunch, we’ll be at Dodson’s bar and here you will be met with probably the widest selection of craft beers in Marlborough - including the very popular local Rennaisance range and an extensive range of NZ, German and other craft beers. A tasty range of international bar food is on offer.
- Well fed and lubricated we take-off to Omaka airfield to the incredible Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre to the WW1 Knights of the Sky and Dangerous Skies WW2 exhibitions. Here a sensational collection of Sir Peter Jackson’s, and other aviation buffs’ World War 1 & 2 planes sit amongst the amazingly life-like sets created by Weta Workshops.
- To complete the tour we visit one of Blenheim’s newest bars, 5 Tapped for a tasting from their 5 selected craft beer barrels, or perhaps a coffee or a Misty Cove wine. This leaves us in the centre of Blenheim. Inexhaustible participants may like to try some of the local bars - The Good House, Marlborough Public House, Biddy Kate’s, Scotch bar or you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
- All tasting costs, lunch, and entry to the Omaha Aviation Heritage Centre.
- Tour starts at 10.30am finishes at 4.30pm (6 hours).
- Starter coffee, gourmet pie, and tastings are included.
- Pick up and drop off at your Blenheim accommodation.
