Good Times Tours - Bubbles, Arts - (and Treats) Tour
For Bubbles lovers this is a must! We will take you to the premium methode traditionale wineries of Marlborough for tastings and the opportunity to stock your cellar back home. Our "bubbles tour" is specialised - it takes guests to wineries that have top sparkling wine reputations. You will have the opportunity to learn about Marlborough winemakers crafting their world class methode traditionalle champenoise - and taste it! Each will share their own story.
At all wineries you will meet and hear from the wine-makers and/or cellar door personnel who will share their unique stories and passion.
We will be guided by your desires throughout your tour, personalising it for you.
- Pick up from your Marlborough accommodation is at 10.30am. Return 4.30 pm.
- We visit No1 Estate, Hunters Winery to taste their award winning Miru Miru and a viewing of resident artist Clarrie Neames amazing art studio, Cloudy Bay to taste their Pelorus, before lunch and a tasting of Dawn at Saint Clair Winery.
- We finish off at Huia and/or Gibson Bridge.
- We will also visit the fabulous Pataka Gourmet Foodstore.
- You will relish a gourmet lunch dining experience at St Clair where the matriarch and namesake still enjoys her daily glass of bubbles at the age of 102.
- We visit the Vines Village and their specialty artisan shops offering local cheeses, wines, spirits, beers, olive oil, ceramics, merino clothing and crafts.
- We can visit artists Clarrie Neame, Brian Badcock and pop in to the Millenium Art Gallery or Yealands Estate Marlborough Art Gallery.
- Before we return to your accommodation we will visit our local boutique chocolate factory Makana for a tasting, a chance to buy a delicious morsel and observe their chocolate in the making.
